My concept of a "pirate-beetle-monster". I combined the form of a skeleton, a pirate, and a conquistador with the anatomy of a beetle. I wanted to convey the feeling of heavy cutlasses, and make the silhouette reminiscent of the costumes of the pirate era. Ships are a combination of water and war, fire and gunpowder.
